In 2013, to connect with their core audience - families - McDonald’s made a commitment: Getting kids around the world to read more. By 2015, they were the biggest book distributor in the world. But how could they make reading seem relevant in the face of competition from screens?
Our answer
Building on McDonald’s existing digital books offering, we created an interactive story that connects to Smart Home technology. In just 4 days, our team designed, wrote and coded a bedtime story experience that connected with Amazon’s Alexa, Google Nest, and Philips Hue to bring a Star Wars epic to life.
